Brick Borough Makes a New Year's Eve Bid to Pierce for New Rescue 3-3 12/31/16
Brick Borough has changed their order for Rescue 3-3. The new unit will be a 2016 Piere Enforcer PUC heavy-duty rescue engine with a 1500 gpm pump, a 650 gallon water tank, a 20 gallon foam tank, and a 15k.W. generator. The truck is equipped to fight fires, respond to car accidents, and attend all rescue calls. It is equipped with multiple types of rescue equipment and even some basic HazMat gear. The new unit will be stationed at Station 6 and it will feature the department's all black color scheme.

Brick Borough Braces for Winter Weather 12/16/16
The Lego National Weather Service has predicted winter weather of some kind between the evening hours of Friday into the morning hours of Saturday. The weather may be snow, with light accumulations, or ice, with minimal to no accumulation. However, the temperature is supposed to warm Saturday, bringing a steady rain into the forecast. Be aware of the weather conditions before you go out this weekend. Be careful while driving, watch for refreezes, and be aware of black ice. Have a good, safe weekend.

TAC 33 Delivered 11/20/16
Meet the new TAC 33! It is a Ford F700 with a Supreme box on the back of it. This truck is equipped with equipment for collapse, trench, and rope rescues. It carries hooks, rope, blocks, jacks, a tripod, harnesses, flashlights etc. This truck will be stationed at Station 6 in downtown.

Brick Borough Firefighters out of the Hospital 11/19/16
All firefighters are also out of the hospital. At 600 hrs this morning, the last firefighter was discharged from Brick Borough Memorial Hospital. Twenty firefighters suffered injuries ranging from minor cuts and bruises to trauma and broken bones. All firefighters have recovered and are taking time off until they are 100% to return back to the duty that they so passionately love.

Brick Borough Tower 3-5 Visits Jakeland 11/16/16
While Jakeland Fire Department celebrates 33 years of dedicated service, their stations around the city are empty. Brick Borough Tower 3-5 had the honor today to cover the Eagle Avenue fire station from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM. St. Sprenklesburg Truck 17 stood by at Station 6 while Tower 3-5 was in Jakeland.
Brick Borough Engine 3-8, Tower 3-5 Placed In Service 11/14/16
Today, Brick Borough Engine 3-8 and Tower 3-5 were placed in service. Both units can now respond to calls in their area as well as calls in mutual aide districts. This station is expected to be a very busy station because of the area they cover in the downtown part of the city. More information about the apparatus can be found on the Station 6 apparatus page.
Brick Borough Units in Need of Repairs, FF's Still in Hospital 11/13/16
While battling a massive conflagration in downtown last night, part of the high-rise collapsed onto the firefighters and their vehicles on the street below. Close to twenty firefighters were injured, only five are still in the hospital this morning. Two other firefighters were hospitalized earlier in the fire when they became isolated and then trapped by heavy fire and debris. The collapse heavily damaged Towers 3-1 and 3-2, Engine 3-3, and Squad 3A. St. Sprenklesburg Engines 182 and 175 were also heavily damaged. Most of the other Brick Borough units on the scene received minor damage to paint and lights. The units that were heavily damaged are expected to be out of service for the entire week while repairs are being made. The units with lesser damage will be in and out of the shop at different times during the weak for their minor repairs. Fortunately, no firefighters were killed and no apparatus were lost in this event.

Brick Borough Receives New Seagrave Apparatus 11/11/16
Brick Borough has taken delivery of the two Seagrave apparatus they had ordered for Station 6. Engine 3-8 (on the right) is a 2016 Seagrave Marauder II with a 1750 gpm pump, a 500 gallon water tank, and a 30 gallon foam cell. Engine 3-8 carries over 1000' of supply line as well as high-rise packs, as this station is in the heart of the city. The engine has a unique body style, with two large roll-up doors and one smaller roll-up on the engineer's side, and a ladder rack with smaller compartments on the officer's side. Tower 3-5 (on the left) is 2016 Seagrave Marauder II with a 1500 gpm pump and a 300 gallon water tank. It has a 75' aerialscope on top of it, and will be very similar in design to Tower 3-2. This truck carries a lot of rescue and fire suppression equipment on board due to its location in the city. These trucks will most likely be officially in service by the end of next week. Rescue 3-3 is still being produced.

Seagrave and Pierce Win Bids for New Station 6 Apparatus 11/6/16
While the Brick Borough Apparatus committee searched for a manufacturer to building Engine 3-8, they also found manufacturers to build the other apparatus at Station 6. Here is what they have decided:
Engine 3-8 will be a 2016 Seagrave Marauder II with a 1750 gpm pump, a 500 gallon water tank, and a 30 gallon foam cell. Engine 3-8 will carry over 1000' of supply line as well as high-rise packs, as this station is in the heart of the city. The engine will have a unique body style, with two large roll-up doors and one smaller roll-up on the engineer's side, and a ladder rack with smaller compartments on the officer's side. The truck will most likely have a "flat-top" and no raised roof.
Tower 3-5 will be a 2016 Seagrave Marauder II with a 1500 gpm pump and a 300 gallon water tank. It will have a 75' aerialscope on top of it, and will be very similar in design to Tower 3-2. This truck will carry lots of rescue and fire suppression equipment on board due to its location in the city. This truck will also include a "flat-top".
Rescue 3-3 will be a 2016 Pierce Saber with a 250 gpm pump and a 200 gallon water tank. This truck is an ENCORE rescue from Pierce and will carry a lot of similar equipment to Squad 3 and Rescue 3-2. This truck will carry a lot of collapse rescue equipment due to its location. This truck will also have an Onan PTO-driven 20k.W. generator with an assortment of power tools. This truck will have a unique body style and a raised roof.
All of these units will be stationed at Station 6 in downtown Brick Borough. All of these units will be delivered and in service by late winter of 2017.

Bids Put Out for a New Engine 3-8 11/5/16
Brick Borough has began to search for new units to add to the fleet. A new Station, Station 6, is planning to open in the center of downtown. The fire department is looking for urban units to station here. They plan to have Engine 3-8, Rescue 3-3, Truck 3 or Tower 3-5, a reserve snorkel unit of some kind, and Battalion 3-4 stationed there. Bids for a new engine have been put out to Smeal, Spartan, Seagrave, KME, and Pierce. The engine is planned to have a 1500 or 1750 gpm pump and a 500 gallon water tank as well as a foam cell of an undetermined size. It will be able to carry over 1000' of hose. The truck will have a body style similar to Engine 3-4 and 3-5. Brick Borough Fire Department apparatus committees will let us know when they have found the final choice.
New Apparatus Delivered 11/1/16
Meet the brand new Brick Borough Pumper Tanker 3!!! This is a 2016 Pierce Enforcer pumper tanker with a 1500 gpm pump, a Husky 3 foam system, a 2500 gallon water tank, and a 25 gallon foam cell. This truck has a large diameter line that can be used with foam as well as several normal hose lines. This truck carries over 1000' of supply line and can carry ground ladders as well. This unit will be stationed at Station 1 and responds to working fires and other incidents. This truck also responds as mutual aide and as part of the tanker task force.

Brick Borough has recently placed an order for a new Pierce walk-in rescue. This special unit will be mounted on a Freightliner M2 chassis. It will have a large walk-in rescue style body. This truck will carry extra SCBA's and equipment to refill air bottles, it will have extra scene lighting and a large light tower on top, and it will also be able to carry rehab equipment to the scene of major incidents. This truck will respond to all working fires as a support unit. Air/Light/Rehab 3 is expect to be delivered in early November of this year.

This truck will also include a small generator with power tools such as cutters, spreaders, etc. Engine 3-3 is expected to be delivered and in service by early November of this year.
Brick Borough Places Order for New Pumper Tanker 3 10/27/16
Brick Borough has recently placed an order from Pierce for a new pumper tanker unit. This truck will be mounted on a 2016 Pierce Enforcer chassis. It will have a 1500 gpm pump, a Husky 3 foam system, a 2500 gallon water tank, and a 25 gallon Class A foam cell. This truck will have a deluge gun, multiple cross-lays and handlines, and will carry over 1000' of supply line. This truck will most likely be in service by early November of this year.

Brand-New Wagon 3 Placed in Service! 9/27/16
Meet the new Brick Borough Wagon 3. It is a 2016 Spartan Metro Star wagon engine. It has a Waterous 1500 gpm 2-stage pump and a poly 500 gallon water tank. It has roll-up doors along both sides of the truck and carries close to 2000' of miscellaneous attack and supply hose. This truck is directly based off of Philadelphia Pipeline Engines 25 and 68. 9/11 Memorial 9/11/16
Today is the 15th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Centers, the Pentagon, and the crash in western PA. To honor the memory of those who have been lost and to honor our heroes, there will be a moment of silence at 8:46 AM today, the time when the first plane hit. The ceremony itself lasted from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. Pictures can be found on the Events page.
Station 4 and 5 Designs Finished and Building Started 8/27/16
Today the final designs for Stations 4 and 5 have been approved, and ground has already been broken where the stations are to be located. For now, the units of the two stations are being located at different stations in the department. The projects can be expected to be completed perhaps by the end of the year.

Engine 3-7 Arrives From HME 8/27/16
*Squeak squeak* "What's that? Ahhhhh!!! A RAT!!!!" That's right, the RAT is here! Mounted on a 2016 HME chassis, with a 1250 gpm pump and a 500 gallon water tank, this truck will now be designated Engine 3-7. It has a large-diameter hose line on the rear, and a high hosebed, which is covered, and the cover opens. There are large scene lights on the rear as well, and plenty of lighting all around. This will be stationed at the new Station 5 just out of town. This truck will be officially placed in service after crew training and familiarization takes place.

New Rescue 3-2 Arrives 8/5/16
Today, Brick Borough's new Rescue 3-2 arrived from Pierce. It is a 2016 Pierce Arrow XT walk-in heavy rescue, and its very loud. It is equipped with two Federal Q2b's, a Federal Q Rumblr, two air horns, and a Leslie SuperTyfon model S-5T train horn. The nickname "Louder Than Lego Falls" was inspired by a friendly rivalry between Brick Borough, Lego Falls, and Stud Ridge to see which department would have the loudest, largest, brightest truck. This is Brick Borough's "contestant". This truck will be placed in service after some training and crew familiarization takes place.

Engine 3-5 Delivered 7/22/16
Today, Engine 3-5, the departments newest pumper was delivered. It is a 2016 E-One Typhoon pumpers with a Waterous 1750 gpm pump, a 500 gallon water tank, a CAFS foam system, and 50 gallons of foam (25 Class A/25 Class B). This truck is also equipped with a top-mount pump, a deck gun, over 1500' of hose, RIT equipment, a foam line, a cross-lay 1 1/2" attack line, basic fire suppression and rescue gear, a generator, and a compliment of Hurst power tools. To be located at Station 3, this unit will serve as a certified RIT engine for the department, as well as a frontline engine company. This truck will go through some tests and training to familiarizes it with its crew. Those tests will take place later this week.

Station 3 Makeover Complete 7/22/16
Station 3's rebuild was just completed. This station now has six bays, including two double-wide, smaller-vehicle bays, and four larger fire truck bays. There is also a new two-story fire administration build attached to the station. This station will now house Battalion 3-1, Field Com 3, ATVs 3-1 and 3-2, Traffic 3, Grass 3, HazMat 3, Engine 3-5, Wagon 3, Tower 3-2, Helicopters 3-3 and 3-4, and this will be the temporary base of operations for the Brick Borough BrickLife EMS fleet.

Lego City Firemen's Conference Being Held Today 6/22/16
Today at the Market Monster Expo Center Complex, Brick Borough will be participating in the 2016 Lego City Firemen's Conference. Many of the newest units in the department, including Engines 3-2 and 3-4, Rescue 3-2, HazMat 3, Towers 3-1 and 3-2 are attending with Battalion 3-1, Chief 3, and Car 3. With most of Brick Borough's front-line units out of service for the day, St. Sprenklesburg will be covering the somewhat empty stations all over the city. St Sprenklesburg Engines 17, 172, and 182, Rescue 17, HazMat Rescue 16, and Truck 18 are the units who will be stationed in the borough for most of the day today. If any calls are reported today, expect to see a mashup of Brick Borough and St. Sprenklesburg units alike at the scene. To all of the firefighters going to the conference, we wish them safe travels and we hope they have a great time. All Brick Borough units should be back by 2000 hours.
Engine 3-4 Placed In-Service 6/10/16

She's Here! 6/5/16
The new Engine 3-4 has arrived in town. The truck is a 2016 Seagrave Marauder II 1750/750/20. The idea for a low hosebed was scrapped early on in the building process in favor of more tank and storage room. The truck is not officially in service yet, and the crew will have to train in it before it can be placed in service. Some drills with all foam units in the area will also be occurring soon; Engine 3-4 will be included. To find out more about the rig, visit the Station 2 page.
Engine 3-4 Planned, Order Prepared 5/30/16
The replacement for Engine 3-4 is off of the drawing board and it is going to be ordered later this week. The truck will have a 2016 Seagrave Marauder II chassis, a 1750 gpm pump, a 750 gallon water tank, a 20 gallon foam tank, and a low hose bed. This truck is going to be an urban-style pumper, similar to those serving the FDNY. The department is looking forward to this new addition, and it will be seen cruising the streets of Brick borough by the end of the summer.
Tower 3-2 Gets a Refurb, and There's a Change in the Department 4/23/16
Tower 3-2 got a massive refurb by Seagrave. The truck, a 2015 Seagrave Marauder II chassis with a 95' Aerialscope II device and 1500/300, was refurbished due to mechanical issues and structural integrity issues. The crew was the main for behind getting the refurb, and they are pleased that it has been done. As for the change in the department, the department is going to start having nicknames for its rigs. For example, Tower 3-2 is called "The Monster Truck". Soon, every truck will have its own, unique nickname. This, again, was spearheaded by the crews themselves.
Red Flag Warning In Affect for the Area 4/19/16
The Lego National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Watch for the entire area. This due to dry conditions, high temperatures, and high winds which are expected to continue today. For the public, this means that there should be no outdoor burning, or fines will be issued. Otherwise, stay safe everyone!
Brick Borough Orders HazMat Unit 4/16/16
Due to concerns on effective HazMat situation response, the board has approved the purchase of a new HazMat truck. The decision was made to purchase a HME/Ahrens-Fox walk-in HazMat truck. The truck will respond with the Integrated Rescue Task Force (IRTF) and the Lego City Area Tactical Rescue Squad (LCATRS). This unit will be in service within the next few days.

Brick Borough was honored to have the privilege to join a newly formed organization. This organization, called the Integrated Rescue Task Force (IRTF), will include units that respond to all sorts of rescue and HazMat calls. Brick Borough units which are in the organization are Utility 3, Trailer 3, Special Ops Trailer 3, TAC 3, TAC 32, Rescue 3-1, Rescue 3-2, HazMat 3, Squad 3, and Pumper Tanker 3. Battalion 3-1 and Traffic 3 Crewman Injured in Line of Duty 4/9/16
In the gas explosion, battalion chief 3-1 was injured, as well as a crew member from Traffic 3. Both men's vehicles were damaged in the incident. While battalion chief 3-1 is out, battalion chief 3-2 will cover all calls that 3-1 would normally receive. Battalion chief 3-1 is recovering from severe burns and trauma in the Lego City Burn and Trauma Center. The crewman of Traffic 3 is receiving treatment at Brick Borough Memorial Hospital. Tower 3-1 crewmen pulled battalion chief 3-1 out of the fire, and the Traffic 3 crew member was pulled out by firefighters from Engine 3-4. This incident claimed the lives of 6 people, including a police officer. The fire service is fortunate it did not suffer a similar loss.
Gas Explosion 4/9/16
A huge gas explosion occurred on Saturday, wiping out a big portion of buildings along Route 50 near the the Main Street intersection. This incident killed five civilians and one police officer. Two firefighters were seriously injured, including battalion chief 3-1. His vehicle and the vehicle of Traffic 3 were severely burned in the incident. A police squad car was totaled in the explosion. A Borough all-call had to go out and mutual aide from St.Sprenklesburg, Stewartstown, and Lego City had to be called in to put out this massive conflagration. Winter Weather Advisory Still In Affect for the Area 4/9/16
This morning, a light snow is still falling in the area. Roadways are wet, but the snow is not sticking to the surfaces. As the day progresses, temperatures will warm up and the thin coat of snow will begin to melt. Watch out for slick roadways on you Saturday travels. Stay safe everyone.

Due to high winds in the area, the Lego National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Brick Borough and the surrounding area. Gusts up to 50mph can be expected. This advisory will end at noon on Sunday, April 3rd.
New Heavy Rescue Ordered by Brick Borough 3/30/16
Due to technical defects and the crew dislike of Rescue 3-2, a new heavy rescue has been ordered. The new unit will be a 2016 Pierce Impel walk-in rescue 1500/500. Rescue 3-1 is also a Pierce Impel, but the new unit is a tandem-axle and can carry more equipment. The truck is expected to arrived by late-week into the weekend.
She's a Comin' 3/28/16
In this image, Tower 3-1 is stopped at a gas station along a road in Florida as it makes its way home to Brick Borough from the E-One facility there. It is expected to arrive by Tuesday evening. The 2016 E-One Cyclone II will be replacing an aging 2008 Smeal Sirius. While Tower 3-1 is out of service, Tower 3-2 will be covering all of its calls, and St.Sprenklesburg Tower 17 will respond to all calls requiring two aerial devices. Lego Falls will also assist if needed.
Wind Advisory In Affect for the Area 3/28/16
Due to high winds in the area, the Lego National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Brick Borough and the surrounding area. Gusts up to 50mph can be expected. The fire department is ready to respond to any calls caused by the wind today. So far, there have been few.
Burn Ban Issued in the Area 3/25/16
Due to mildly dry conditions in the area, a burn ban has been issued by the borough. This means no outdoor burning of trash or anything else. Anyone seen burning things outdoors will be fined $100. This ban has been put in place for the safety of the citizens in the area.
New Tower Ladder Ordered by Brick Borough 3/25/16
Tower 3-1, the long-standing frontrunner of Brick Borough units, is soon to be replaced with a new unit. Brick Borough has ordered a 2016 E-One Cyclone II to replace the aging 2008 Smeal Sirius. Both devices are 100' platforms, but the new rig will have more equipment space, a 1500 gpm single-stage pump, and a 300 gallon tank. The rig will be arriving sometime next week.
