- Paramedic 3 is equipped with radio antennas on the room so it can communicate with the command units and make response times faster, and ultimately saving more lives. The rear of this vehicle is very spacious, allowing for more room for patients, the paramedics, and more equipment. This truck is usually called before the MICU for most situations with the exception of serious medical emergencies/injuries and vehicle accidents that only the MICU can handle. BBREMS is debating replacing the Paramedic units with MICU units that can handle more emergencies (more bang for their buck).
